Incredible Tasks

Sweater: NY&Co., Tshirt and Earrings: F21, Jeans: Target, Scarf: Urban Outfitters, Boots: DSW,
Bag: TjMaxx, Ring: Threadsence

You know what's incredible about studying for finals? I always seem to find time do things (that I would never usually have time for), instead of studying.  Clean my room? sure! Go for a jog in the freezing wind? of course!! Learn how to stand on a ball, on my head, while juggling an elephant? ABSOLUTELY! (actually if I could do that I wouldn't be studying for finals, I would be making mad cash in a circus).

Anyways... I'm sure you catch my drift. And because of my procrastination I am anticipating my blog posts to be far and few between until finals are over for me. Which is technically Monday, but the I'll need a day of recovery from all the academic stress on my brain. So, if you don't hear from me for a while, don't send a search team. I'm just in sweats staring at my computer hoping a ten page paper starts flowing through my finger tips.

Because It's Wednesday...

Shirt: Thrifted, Pants: American Eagle, Boots; Old Navy, Belt: F21, Bracelets: American Eagle

Not only is it Wednesday, but it's also the Wednesday before finals start. For me that meant I needed to wear a color that made me feel energized even when I'm not. And let me tell ya, all this avoiding doing what I really should be doing (aka studying) is making me real exhausted. Unfortunately the week before finals also means crappy pictures because finding time to do them has been limited. This is also why my pictures are in the dumb hall of my apartment with awful lighting (the 5:30 pm sunset here is also not helping my cause).

Does the middle of your week need a little pick me up? Check out this hilarious post over at the thurners. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Teacher! Teacher!

Dress: Target, Sweater: NY&Co., Belt: Stolen from Grandma, Boots: NineWest, Ring: Threadsence

When I was in elementary school a lot of kids used to call the teachers Teacher. Apparently they were unaware of the fact that teachers have names, and they don't like being called Miss Teacher Crazy concept.

Anyways, If I were a teacher I would wear this outfit everyday. Without washing it... I joke. But I would wear a variation of this every day. I would also take blog pictures in a poorly lit classroom and constantly stand on desks. It's an interesting perspective (if you've seen Dead Poet's Society you know what I'm talking about).

Also, thanks to Anna for doing my pictures today and my Colleagues for Life for insisting I take pictures while standing on the desks shown above.

Bust a Move

Sweater, Tshirt, and Jeans: New York & Co., Belt: Forever21, Boots: Payless (old)

I think I have a uniform. Tshirt, sweater, jeans, boots. I find myself wearing this combo often. Of course this is my late 80s/early 90s version of it. Between the higher waisted faded jeans, tucked in shirt, and skinny belt, all I need is my scrunchi and I'm good to go Bust a Move.

Permission for public humiliation if you ever catch me with a scrunchi.

Rapping... Wrapping...

I had a pretty busy past couple of days with the family, which means pictures didn't really happen. I spent Friday driving to my home, home (no that's not a typo) and then at a wrapping party. I misunderstood the invites from my Aunts and came dressed in my best rap artist attire ready to spit some mad lines, only to find out we were wrapping Christmas presents. Although disappointed (you really should have seen my gold chains), I did have a fantastic time and managed to learn some very important family Christmas wrapping secret. Super intense guys ;)

Saturday was spent honoring my Aunt at a large banquet into the Greater Flint Sports Hall of Fame, for all of her amazing sports accomplishments. I wore the rocking purple dress you can somewhat see above, and forgot to get outfit pictures while dressed. So instead, we will have to settle for a picture of me with both of my dashing brothers, and a fun little mirror picture.
Hope your weekend was just as swell!

A Great Start

Sweater: H&M,Skirt: F21, Tights: JcPenny, Boots: Ninewest, Ring: Threadsence

This is a day behind, but I can't believe it's already December! And let me tell you my December 1st started my month out right. I got to wear this awesome outfit (I think I finally figured out how to transition this skirt over to colder months), got my haircut by the lovely Sarah Titus (who did a fab job), I found my dearly missed moccasin that my bed ate (this was huge for me), AND got to spend the evening with some amazing friends.

If this is any indication to how the rest of the month will go, I'm preeeetttyy excited!

Side note: please enjoy my senior picture pose in photo number three.

Winter Whites

Tshirt: American Eagle Men's, Jeans and Scarf: New York & Co., Boots: DSW, Sweater: No idea?, Hat: Target, Bag: TjMaxx Necklace: Forever21

I can't get over the beauty of our first snow fall. It might be a pain but, WOW. It's stuck to everything! This much snow required a comfy, cozy outfit. And boots. Heels and flats were not going to cut it through the ice slush and melting snow, unless you enjoy cold wet feet. And if you do enjoy those kinds of things... well... more power to ya.

This is where I go to school :)
